Adding a quote to an opportunity with Add Estimation.

Quotes are created from an opportunity with Add Estimation, and they live on it. Once an estimation exists the opportunity gains a Current Revision tab — the live estimate, shown inline — and a Quotes tab listing every quote (the main quote plus any options or customer copies). Key actions like Win Quote, Send Documents and View Budget sit right on the opportunity.

When to use

To find and work on an opportunity’s estimate — review the current revision, open a quote to manage its revisions, or win/send straight from the opportunity.

Step by step

Current Revision (tab) — 1. Once you add an estimation, the opportunity's Current Revision tab shows the live estimate — revision name, quote number, cost, markup and margin.

Win Quote (toolbar button) — 2. Straight from the opportunity you can Win Quote, Send Documents, Show In Document or View Budget — no need to open the quote first.

Quotes (tab) — 3. The Quotes tab lists every quote on the opportunity — the main quote plus any options or customer copies.

Quotes grid — 4. Open a quote from here to work on its revisions, pricing and documents.
