Your First Login
Your administrator has set up an account for you — what happens between clicking the email link and seeing FSManager.
The invitation email
When an admin creates your user account (via Create Login), you’ll receive an invitation email containing:
- Your tenant URL (e.g.
https://acme.fsmanager.co.nz) - Your user name (your email address)
- A one-time set-password link
The link is time-limited. If it expires before you use it, ask your admin to Resend Invitation.
Setting your password
- Click the Set Password link in the invitation email. Your browser opens to the Set Your Password page.
- Enter a new password, and confirm it.
- Submit. The system stores your password and redirects you to the login page.
Password requirements are shown on the form. If your tenant has stricter rules (length, complexity, history), they’ll be enforced here.
Logging in
- Go to your tenant URL — for example
https://acme.fsmanager.co.nz. - The login form prompts for User Name (your email) and Password.
- (Optional) Tick Remember me to stay signed in on this device.
- Click Log In.
If you forget your password, click Forgot your password? under the form. The system emails a fresh reset link.
What you see next
If you belong to a single tenant — you land directly in the main FSManager app on your default startup view (typically the Jobs dashboard).
If you belong to multiple tenants (e.g. you work across two related businesses) — after login you’ll see a tenant chooser listing the tenants you have access to. Pick one to continue. You can switch tenants later from the header without logging out (see Navigating FSManager → Multi-tenant switcher).
If your tenant hasn’t completed initial setup — the first administrator to log in is taken straight to the Setup Wizard to configure the company. Regular users won’t see the wizard.
What’s New on first sign-in
The first time you sign in after the system has been updated, a What’s New popup may appear a couple of seconds in. It shows what changed in the latest release — features, improvements, and any breaking changes. Click Got it to dismiss it; the same content is always available from the Help → What’s New menu.
Troubleshooting
“Invalid user name or password” — make sure caps lock is off and you’re using your full email address, not just the local part. If you’re still locked out after a few tries, the account may be temporarily locked; ask your admin or wait 15 minutes.
The Set Password link doesn’t open — it has likely expired. Ask your admin to Resend Invitation from your user record.
You see the login screen but the URL works for other people — confirm with your admin that your account is Active and not marked Finished. Deactivated employees can’t log in.
