The job right-click menu

Right-click any job row on the Job Manager to open its menu — the quickest way to act on a whole job. Each action opens a dialog and walks you through its own steps; where a full how-to exists it’s linked below.

What each option does

  • Open Job — open the full job record (parts, items, dates, documents). See Job overview.
  • Put on Hold… — pause the job with a reason; it’s flagged on the board until released.
  • Set High Priority — mark the job urgent so it stands out for the team.
  • Edit Note… — add or change the note that shows against the job.
  • Move Job Items — shift items to another part or job. See Part actions.
  • Import Job Items… — pull items in from the won estimate rather than adding them by hand. See Part actions.
  • Change Delivery Date… — reschedule delivery; the change is audited with a reason. Same action as on a part — see Part actions.
  • Change Start Date… — reschedule when the job starts on the floor.
  • View Pre-Production Orders… — see what needs ordering for the job. See Goods to order and Part actions.
  • Raise NCP… — log a non-conforming product against the job. See Raise an NCP.
  • View NCP… — review NCPs already raised. See Non-conforming products.
  • Attach Paperwork… — open the Factory Paperwork Manager. See Attach paperwork to a job.

Rescheduling a job

Change Delivery Date

  1. Right-click the job and choose Change Delivery Date.
  2. Pick the new date and enter a reason — the change is logged on the job’s Delivery Date Changes tab so you keep an audit trail (customer-caused vs internal).
  3. Confirm. (This is the same action as on a part — see Part actions.)

Change Start Date

  1. Right-click the job and choose Change Start Date.
  2. Pick the new start date and confirm — the board re-sorts to the new schedule.
