Mark as lost

Closes out an opportunity you didn’t win, with a reason, so your pipeline and win/loss reporting stay honest.

When to use

The customer went elsewhere, the project was cancelled, or the quote lapsed.

Step by step

An open opportunity (open it)
1. Open the opportunity you didn't win.
Lost Opportunity (toolbar button)
2. Choose Lost Opportunity to close it out.
Lost Reason (combobox, popup)
3. Pick why it was lost — this feeds your win/loss reporting, so be accurate.
OK (popup button)
4. Confirm to close the opportunity and remove it from your open pipeline.
