A job part is the unit work actually happens on. It holds the items (the products to make), the tasks (the production steps workers claim), its delivery dates, budgets and documents, and its own status, stage and progress.

Step by step

Part Name / Status / Stage — 1. A part has a Status (Active, on hold, cancelled) and a production Stage (Pre Production, In Production, Delivered).

Planned Hours / Actual Hours / Percentage Complete — 2. Planned vs actual hours and percentage complete track the part's progress as workers claim its tasks.

Start Date / Delivery Date / Sales Price / Total Items — 3. The part carries its own dates, value and item count, separate from the rest of the job.

Items / Tasks / Delivery / Budgets (tabs) — 4. Below, the part splits into Items (the products), Tasks (the production steps), Delivery Date Changes, Budgets and Documents.
